The is a year-long program of screenings and workshops that foster independent film in San Antonio. Through collaborations with the San Antonio Film Commission, local arts and community organizations as well as universities, NALIP-SA will give culturally and economically diverse communities access to independent film in ways that are not presently available. Through celebrating and including filmmakers and audiences of all backgrounds, NALIP will promote the authentic, pan-ethnic diversity that is the real jewel of independent filmmaking. NALIP-SA provides area filmmakers and residents with yearlong activities through three local signature programs:
The San Antonio Film Slam Series welcomes all to screen their works before an audience-be it a documentary about women rugby players to an experimental piece about grasshoppers and everything in between. These events celebrate the dynamism of our film community, giving them a critical networking opportunity. The SA Film Series supported in part by the Ford Foundation and JP Morgan NALIP Signature Programs (National)Annual NALIP National Conference
