A letter from your local chapter leader…

It’s been a busy year so far…and still so much more coming to close out 2009.

I would say the best thing I’ve seen so far this year, is the quality of films San Antonio is producing and the excitement of a growing film community. Wow!

It was my dream a year ago to see the San Antonio film community come together and now, I attend a mixer, screening or meeting of the minds at least twice a month. I can barely keep up.

We (NALIP-SA) now have a place to call home. The Radius Center has taken us in for the incubator program. So we have screenings with mixers. It’s a place where you can watch a film and then have the after- party. We’ re really fortunate to be there, it’s a beautiful space. We remain excited and motivated. Filmmakers are getting more acquainted with NALIP-SA and our membership is still growing.

Remember NALIP-SA is here for you. You will always find support whether its to give you the name of a DP or editor that may help you, or just to say, “ you’re doing great, keep going forward, keep telling stories, keep filming, and hold on to your dreams!”
